Perfect Solution

Hello, dear readers.  I know, I know... bad Nola!  It's been a long time since I've written my last post (the Bette Midler thing really doesn't count, no matter how much I love that song.  Although since Auburn enjoyed it, I may have to reassess that position.  Auburn rocks.), but things here have been, well... quite Nola-ish.  We all know what that means, right?  Plague, pestilence, and four men riding horses (although, in this day and age, maybe they'd be in Hybrids or something.  Go green!).  Or something to that effect.  But through it all, I've maintained my positive outlook (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *coughs* Sorry.), and have finally come to a conclusion.

I'm going to shop for a girlfriend.

Reunion

Well, the weekend is over and I have returned from my high school reunion in one piece.  More or less.  No visible scarring, anyway, which is always a good thing.  And I have the pictures to prove it.

That's yours truly and Heather.  I thought that pic turned out really well, considering that I normally cause spontaneous fracturing of camera lenses.  Heather is a total doll, and one of the reasons that I'm glad I made the trip.  And I'm not just saying that because she paid me, either.  *coughs*

Oh, and there in the background, looking grim and ready to bite someone?  My old friend Greg.  We were inseparable back in junior high and early high school.  He's my brother from another mother.  I know how he loves it when I say that.  Isn't that right, Greg?  *smiles brightly*

Call Me Professor

I'm about to spontaneously combust.  Seriously.  Extra-crispy Nola.  And why?, you may ask.  Because one of us *coughs and taps chest* just got their grade back from their first major exam in a class that causes ulcers... a class that grades about as hard as Paris Hilton's head... and one of us?  (That would be me, for those of you not connecting the dots this fine day) 

*insert drumroll here*

My Son Speaks Again...

Anyone who's been reading my blog for any period of time knows how Connor loves to throw me off by saying the damnedest things from time to time.  Sometimes offensive (to an adult, not a 10 year old), sometimes not.   Generally they just make me laugh, but sometimes they make my brain hurt.

Just to Get By

You know, I'm really astounded at just how behind I've fallen in my schoolwork this past week.  Seriously.  And we don't even want to talk about how I think I did on my make-up exam on Friday.  FYI?  Taking an exam while you're sporting a 101 degree fever?  Not optimum.  Your brain doesn't want to cooperate, as it's trying to shift into hibernation mode, whether you like it or not.  Trust.

Anyhoo.  I'm not feeling the creative juices to any great degree today, yet still I wanted to share something with you, my beloved readers.  'Cause I roll like that.  So follow the 'read more of this post' or whatever the holy hell the link says (what, I should remember that?  What am I, wikipedia?), and you'll see a little something I wrote a couple of years or so ago that I still find amusing. 

Then again, I can sit and  laugh for hours at lolcats, so my amusement threshhold is surprisingly low.

Moar Tissue!

Short post today.  But hey!  At least it's way better than when I was posting like maybe every week and a half, right?  I just wanted to let y'all know that I, lucky bitch that I am, have the flu.  If I mentioned it already and forgot (and it's possible, because not even I pay attention when I speak), then, well... you just got to hear about it again.  'Cause when I suffer?  I take as many people down with me as I can possibly manage.  *coughs*

I have massive studying to do the next few days to make up for the five days I've been sick, but never fear... I will, indeed, be back.  I have to, actually.  Otherwise how can I share the fact that Saturday I have to actually attend a church service.  For one of my classes.  CHURCH SERVICE.  *taps monitor*  Is this thing on?
